Senior Strategist/Mad Scientist

Roles and Responsibilities

What the Role Demands:

  • Ability to be both account planner and data analyst with tangible agency experience doing both
  • Experience and evidence demonstrating how you generate, direct and capitalize on data opportunities toward creating a human story (we are not looking for “analytics lite” but a daily, committed skillset capable of integrating art and science
  • Relatively deep cross-category expertise
  • Proven experience writing stories and creative briefs
  • Adept at finding the human in the numbers and articulate why that's meaningful in building strategy
  • Experience being a part of a developing analytics department
  • Being irreplaceable, the friendly face of both the science and human experience that makes the complex simple – and creates a desire for people to need and follow you
  • Being insatiably curious about all aspects of the market, the brand, the people and the culture that affects everything
  • Having an eye and sensibility for great creative work and tenaciously works to make it better
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, brand planning or business is a plus
  • Minimum 5 - 9 years of related experience within an advertising agency
  • Clear understanding of traditional as well as modern primary research methods
  • Proven ability to find, direct and translate research and analytics into larger insights
  • Can show evidence of success in uniquely developing brands and strategies that were successful in quantified ways
  • Exceptional written, verbal and analytical skills
  • Confident and persuasive presenter who can hold a room
