Integrated Media Director

Bernstein-Rein is looking for an Integrated Media Director who will drive media strategy while managing a team to consistently and successfully deliver cross-channel, integrated media programs. They will lead the working relationship with the Client, while collaborating with outside agency partners, forming a cohesive, core team that successfully manages the Client’s business.

This person will work diligently to oversee a consistent and innovative planning process that produces strong results for our clients. The successful candidate will also possess the ability to effectively juggle multiple priorities while managing client expectations, timelines and coordination between various resources.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic development and manage overall expectations related to media plan deliverables; interrogate plans based on client objectives as well as overall integration of media components
  • Work with Client to understand goals and establish Key Performance Indicators
  • Actively contribute original thinking and sound guidance to all media related programs
  • Develop solutions to complex problems while managing efforts of team in the timely development and submission of media deliverables
  • Manage team in the development and implementation of national, regional and local media campaigns that will include most or all of the following:
    • National and local broadcast television in traditional and direct response formats
    • National and local radio
    • Paid Digital, Mobile, Paid Social Media strategies
    • Outdoor
    • National Consumer Magazines
    • Local event ideation and implementation
    • Influencer and Key Influencer channels
  • Prepare and present media presentations directly to Client and other agency partners
  • Identify, develop, present, implement and optimize media plans, strategies, and tactics
  • Work with buying team(s) to define and develop optimal media buys, monitoring, post-promotional reporting and or post-buy analyses
  • Manage ongoing monitoring of media campaigns, delivering periodic campaign performance meetings internally and reporting results to Client(s)
  • Develop POVs as needed in response to Client needs or requests
  • Proven passion, drive and active knowledge for new and emerging media and future planning
  • Stay on the forefront of industry trends, emerging channels and media technologies to inform internal partners and client teams
  • Inspire creativity and proactivity of media team
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years media planning experience, advancing through levels of AMD (Assistant Media Director) and GMD (Group Media Director), or equivalent; reports to SVP, Director of Experience Planning
  • Four-year college degree of equivalent in Business, Communications, Marketing background
  • Experience in all relevant media channels
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills
  • Proven ability to conceive and develop quality, well-conceived and successful media plans
  • Ability to analyze data and deep understanding of measurement practices, 3rd party measurement companies and web analytics
  • Experience with core media planning tools: Kantar, Simmons, Nielsen, SRDS
  • Experience in the style/fashion and retail verticals
  • Comprehensive ability to work with corporate/franchise organizations
  • This position is based in NYC; some travel required
