Assistant Media Planner

Bernstein-Rein is in search of an Assistant Media Planner – someone who is ready to start learning, absorbing and working as part of a collaborative team.  The Assistant Media Planner will support media planning teams with day-to-day responsibilities as well as train on programs that help better their understanding in the media environment. BR needs someone who is great at multi-tasking, is a quick study, and someone who is curious for curiosity’s sake.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Assist with all aspects of media planning process – creating and maintaining media flowcharts, tracking and maintaining client media expenditures, managing details across multiple channels in both plan development and implementation
  • Assist with providing channel-specific tracking reports as required by assignment or client
  • Collect data and assist in developing competitive reports
  • Assist with proposal evaluations and client media plans
  • Assist in communication with buying teams to ensure client needs are met
  • Issues paperwork/contracts as needed
  • Begins to develop a working knowledge of media-related and other basic software programs
  • Starts to develop media knowledge base in preparation for media research responsibilities that include: evaluating media research data, developing points of view, understanding systems applications, understanding various media and their application against client strategies and goals

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, advertising
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Very high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint/Keynote and presentation tools and skills
  • Exceptional communication skills within the agency team
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
